Course Description

What is MGS RPM?

We are very excited to announce the launch of our Mitigate Stress Recovery + Performance program. For years, we have wanted to create and provide the ultimate online recovery and performance program, routine, and membership that anyone can access from any part of the world. We aim to offer a program that works as well as in-person functional movement training, allowing you to move pain-free, prevent injury, become stronger, build functional muscle, become healthier, and stay hydrated. Our goal is to provide better mobility, digestion, a lower stress response, and not just maximum physical but also mental performance and recovery.

We want you to always be in a ready state, ready to perform, ready to take on the day, and ultimately become (like our friend, Ben, always says) “An Adaptive Athlete.” It has taken decades of constant trial and error, refinement, research, training, buying programs, and working with as many movement specialists as possible to finally develop a routine that works best. We have stripped down the routine by removing what is less impactful and focusing only on what matters the most: a daily routine to maximize your recovery, performance, and overall quality of life that is sustainable for a lifetime. 

Listen, the degeneration of human health and performance is set at an accelerated pace more than ever before. Human health & performance continues to drop at an alarming rate every single year. We are more sedentary and physically weaker than ever before, human posture continues to erode and weaken faster than ever before, and we are also exposed to more pollutants in our air, clothes, food, and light than ever before.

Our job is to get you out of your stressed state first, whether you are aware of it or not, and then maximize your performance so you can be a practical athlete for life. We will help you develop a healthy response to stress, not just mitigate stress but have the stress-buffering capacity and tools to deal with this beautiful yet unpredictable life bestowed upon you. We do this by covering 4 key pillars within our philosophy:

Our health depends on frequent and optimal movement. Our goal is to actually teach you how to become a recovery + performance specialist. How to move better, how to understand biomechanical function, functional strength, useful anatomy, posture, and maximize your physical performance, which will spill over into every aspect of your life.

Simply put, we want you to become a superhuman, but we ultimately want you to become an “Adaptive Athlete,” functionally athletic, strong, and healthy up until your death bed. We want to optimize your performance, the way you move, how you stand, walk, run, sprint, climb, fight, play sports, and strength train; we want you to become an athlete, no matter what age or gender. We want your body to always be in a ready state, able to take on any task, and able to play with your kids/grandkids into old age.

The difference is that many memberships offer too much information that is honestly questionable in its efficacy, and much of it overwhelms the members to the point of no return. We understand most people are busy, so our job was to make a routine that’s just more doable but better and yields even better results, one that is sustainable for the rest of your life. We realize this and have simplified our routine so you can just sign up and easily follow along; just breathe slowly, deeply, relax, and show up daily, and we will take care of the rest. 90% of our clients weren’t athletes, but we want you to become one without having to sacrifice time away from your career, hobbies, or family.

Over the next few weeks, we will develop a foundational movement, recovery, and performance routine. We will start with a fairly detailed self-analysis using the mirror and a journal, which will create awareness and give us a baseline with which to work. Next, we will focus only on a few foundational corrective exercises, but with intention and focus day in and day out. We will combine this with daily corrective posture walks as our self-diagnostics tool, which will provide much-needed feedback and data.

This, combined with the mirror and the specific MGS functional corrective exercises and trigger points, sets the tone for one of the biggest components of this movement membership: PLAY. Once all these categories are placed within the foundation, over time, we will continue to expand your repertoire and refine your skills, techniques, and understanding of optimal human movement, recovery, and functional performance. We will also cover the heavy hitters of the other 3 pillars, not just movement, what foods/supplements hinder your recovery versus ones that maximize it. Your environmental stressors slow recovery, as well as how you think and, most importantly, react to stress. The primary focus of the course will be centered around Optimal Movement, Recovery, and Maximal Performance that is Sustainable & Practical for a Lifetime.
